Bicolor tourmaline earrings

One-of-a-kind earrings featuring exceptionally rare bicolor tourmaline. The birthstone of October, tourmaline is called denki-seki, "electric stone" in Japanese due to its ability to hold electric charge when heated or pressed. A mysterious gemstone said to have been used from ancient times in sacred rites and medical treatments, in addition to jewelry. It boasts such a wide range of possible colors that it is also known as the "chameleon gem." In this piece, the two stones show a striking deep green clearly bordered with transparent edges, in an unique mountain-like shape of conjoined crystals. The 18K gold setting, its shape in perfect harmony with the organic form of the stone, has an open design on the sides to let in light. Uniting the design are delicately sparkling melee diamonds. Modest in size but with a bold presence, this special piece adds a unique statement to any outfit.
