[Ryui Monthly piece] Goethite in amethyst ring
A one-of-a-kind ring featuring a bold goethite in amethyst. Cherished in Japan since ancient times, amethyst was then known as "murasaki-zuisho" and today, is widely known as the birthstone for February. This beautiful faint purple amethyst with a transparency similar to that of a water droplet contains needle-shaped crystals called goethite in an extremely delicate orange-brown color, bringing to mind the image of a blue sky turning into night, while feathered seeds float through the air, riding the wind. The piece possesses an ephemeral and profound charm, as if the momentary scene was captured in pale, clear amethyst, complemented by the ring's platinum setting and shank. The highly transparent oval cabochon cut adorns the hands with a dewy, glossy glimmer.
